Understanding the Dynamics of Suicide

Survivors of Suicide have a unique grief experience. This presentation examines the unique and complex grief reactions to the loss. Survivors of suicide are at risk of “Distorted mourning” which is a syndrome of “Complicated Grief.” Anger becomes a coping mechanism that can possibly lead to an unhealthy grief experience. This seminar will provide ways to help suicide survivors cope with the loss.
