SUMMARY:Depression and Loneliness Help Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, June 22nd  \n11am-1pm \nLight of the Valley\, Room 105 of the back buildings \nThe feeling of sadness\, frustration\, grief\, or being depressed are realities to us humans. At some point in our life\, we have experienced and will experience them. No one is ever immune to these feelings\, although the degree by which individuals feel them can vary. Having emotions is part of being a human being and it’s normal to have them. \nThe way we react or feel towards events or circumstances can have a huge impact in the way we deal with other people\, and to a greater extent\, the way we live our lives. But just because this is a reality\, doesn’t mean there is nothing we can do about it. In this workshop\, we discuss healthy ways to manage and process your feelings. \nAll you need to bring is yourself\, in whatever emotional state you may be at that moment. I know on some days it really takes something to just get out of bed or out of the house\, so if you make it to the workshop on one of those days\, that’s a huge win in itself. \nParticipants can engage in the workshop as much or as little as they like\, even if that’s just sitting in the back and listening. \nFacilitated by Dr. Alice Fong \n$30/person \nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER
